The Beaches in Macau are one of the most popular attractions in the area. Macaus coast is made out of a peninsula and the adjoining isles of Taipa and Coloane. This small coastline is scattered with beautiful beaches. These quite and tranquil Macau beaches provide a relaxing and soothing experienced vacation. In the southern part of Coloane Island you will find two of the most popular beaches in the area Cheoc Van Beach & Hac-Sá Beach:
Cheoc Van Beach Situated approximately 1.5 km from Coloane Village, Cheoc Van beach is a pleasant sandy stretch where you can swim in the sea or in the pool in the nearby park. The beach is surrounded by leafy woods with a stream passing through and the woods provide welcome shelter from the sun in the summer months. has several restaurants with esplanades, a swimming pool, a Portuguese style hostel (which also includes its own swimming pool) and a Nautical Club with equipment for canoeing and windsurfing.

Hac-Sá Beach also known as Black Sands Beach (Hac Sa) positioned on the southern side of Coloane is an enormous crescent-shaped beach and the largest and most popular of Macau's beaches. The sand here is black and gray and the water (although it looks dirty) is very clean and lovely to swim in. The beach itself is around four kilometres long, meaning you won’t find your nose in someone else’s swimsuit. The beach is longer than Cheoc Van and is popular for sunbathing, windsurfing and jet-skiing. Near the beach there is a park that contains tennis courts, a swimming pool, picnic area, barbecue area, nature trails, a jogging track, coffee shop, snack bar, children's playground, mini-golf course and several highly-rated Portuguese and Chinese restaurants. You will also find the Nautical Entertainment Centre (at the Hac-Sá reservoir park) where different boats and water scooters are available for rent.
