What to do in Hong Kong?

I'm going to Hong Kong from Jan 22-28. What do you reccomend I do while I'm there? Is it true I can get a suit tailor made pretty cheap? What hotel is good and not too expensive? Is Macau far? How do I get there? I'm male over 40.

Is it possible for a foreigner to get citizenship of Macau or Hong Kong?

I know for a foreigner of non-Chinese decent to get citizenship in mainland China is extremely difficult, nearing impossible. However, the immigration laws for work permits, etc, in Hong Kong and Macau are a lot more relaxed for foreigners than on the mainland of China So I was wondering, hypothetically speaking, if a white foreigner had resided in Hong Kong or Macau for several years on a work permit and had permenant residence, would they be permitted to apply for citizenship? I'm told a Hong Kong or Macau citizen is essentially a citizen off the PRC with right of abode in either territory. Thanks

i canceled my thai airways ticket from bangkok ..... ?

i booked tickets from thai airways for delhi - bangkok- delhi. On reaching bangkok i went to macau for three days visit by airasia, as thai airways do not have any flight to macau. After reaching macau i heard in news that bangkok airport is closed due to protest. So i was not able to reach bangkok airport to catch my flight. So i went to hongkong and requested thai airways officials to kindly arrange a flight for me to fly back home. But they denied to help. So i left with no option to buy cathy pacific ticket to fly back home . delhi- bangkok- delhi ticket on thai cost me Rs 23000/= and hongkong -delhi cathy pacific ticket cost me Rs 32000/= Now please suggest me What should i do ? Will thai airways pay me cathy pacific ticket cost ? Or will thai airways return me half the amount of delhi-bangkok-delhi fare ? And if they wont consider this case , can i take this case to consumer court ? Please help back

Where should I travel to?

I have a US$3,000.00 budget and 2 weeks to spend!!! I'm originally from Hong Kong but grew up in Los Angeles. I have already been to the following places: - San Francisco, CA, USA - Catalina, CA, USA - Orlando, FL, USA - Hong Kong - Macau - Beijing, China - Shanghai, China - Hangzhou, China - Toronto, Canada - Vancouver, Canada - Taipei, Taiwan I only speak English and Cantonese (my Mandarin is not passable). I don't really like water activities and I want to go to a country or city that is English friendly. I want to go someplace that has things to DO. I like activities! I don't really like lounging around and being lazy all day long. My friends suggested that I go to Belize, but I'm not really a water type of person. I'm still thinking about it. What do you guys suggest? What's the funnest thing to do there? When's the best time in the year to go?

I'm looking for a place that's not a total dump, but not over $100 a night (on weekdays). It doesn't have to be fancy at all, just clean. Also, a place that's close to the casinos would be preferable, but not necessary.

How do you extend the length of stay the Hong Kong Immigration Department issues upon arrival in Hong Kong?

I know that Filipino citizens are given 14 days of [visa-free] stay in Hong Kong upon arrival. I also know that you can extend your length of stay by exiting Hong Kong and going to either Macau or Shenzhen. But is there an easier way? For example, what if I want to stay there for more than 14 days? Do I have to have someone who is a HK ID cardholder to sponsor me? How do you do it? Thanks a lot! ^^, To Power: Yes, I am Filipino, but I know Filipinos are only given 14 days of maximum stay in Hong Kong. ^^,

Hong Kong Holiday Budget this december...?

I am vacationing to Hong Kong and Macau. The airline tickets and hotels are all paid for. My trip is as follows:4 days in Hong Kong and a ferry trip to Macau maybe half day there. Spending money will be mostly spent on food, drinks, taxi's, shopping etc. Since i don't have a credit card I was thinking on bringing $1000 USD with me. I'd like a combination of some deluxe and mid priced restaurants, etc. along with money for going out at night to bars, etc. Thanks in advance!

how to ride Turbojet from Macau ferry terminal to Hongkong?

We stay in Hotel Royal and we want to go to Hong kong. So we bought ticket from turbojet. Please help me or explain to me how can I get to turbojet from Hotel Royal. Please explain also the details I have to do once I arrive in the terminal (example when to board, how many minutes do i need to be in the terminal before departure). I would really appreciate it if you teach me what to do (direction by direction) because it would be my first time in Macau. By the way we have our luggage with us, so i think we need to check them in. if you also know what to do once we arrive in the Hong kong terminal, please help me also in details.
